Another month has gone by and it's time to showcase my purchases in The Month Wrap. January has been a bumper month and my purchases span three states with surprisingly nothing bought online. As you well know I tend not be be a 'bricks and mortar' shopper, preferring to click away on my laptop to make my purchases, but this month I have reconnected with shopping in person and I had almost forgotten how much of a tactile experience shopping can be. The Hubs has long labelled me a 'a toucher', claiming that I can't walk past anything without laying my hands on it, even if I have no intention of buying it. There is no doubt that no amount of online close ups can compare to running the fabric through your fingers or seeing exactly how a garment will actually look on you. Maybe this new delight in 'in person' shopping combined with some unbeatable specials and the fact that I took a girly trip to Melbourne with The Enabler (nuff said!) plus spent my birthday weekend in the Gold Coast with The Hubs (more on the blog soon but read about our fab night out here) who became a bit of an enabler himself and encouraged me to treat myself in honour of my special day, was the reason that I seem to have acquired my body weight in beauty essentials, clothes, shoes and accessories this month. Beauty Essentials

All my stocks were running pretty low this month so I was thrilled when Priceline had a two day sale with 40% of all skincare. While it would have been tempting to bulk buy all my usual favourites I actually took the opportunity to bag products that I have been wanting to try but would never pay full price for. I've used the Sanctuary Spa Microbrasion polish a few times now and I love it! I'm planning to review most of these products on the blog in due course so stayed tuned to find out what I really think :) I been particularly looking forward to trying rose hip oil ever since I read Margaret's top 5 beauty tips here. I've been mixing up my style a bit lately and you maybe surprised to find some unexpected purchases here. Maxi skirts? Dresses? Hats? What's going on? Well you know what they say ... A change is as good as a holiday! There are of course some familiar items like the great button down shirt from Just Jeans, which is now 30% off (D'Oh!) until tomorrow only so be quick if you are keen! I also went just a little bit bananas in Lovisa. I can never wander in there without buying something and this month I got lots of somethings lol. I seem to have been drawn to black this month and these sparklers were just too pretty not to take home. I will say however, that as pretty as the big hoops are (see them styled here with the black maxi, hat and backpack from below) they are not exactly practical as they keep hitting my shoulders but I am not going to let a little thing like hat stop me wearing them. Halter tops are also one of my very favourite things and I scooped up four this month. I have actually only worn one so far (see here) but I am in love with all of them. While up North, I discovered Famous Footwear for the first time in Surfer's Paradise. We don't have any stores in NSW but they are sprinkled throughout Queensland and Victoria. Now I know, that you know, that I am normally not a fan of cheap shoes and can easily drop $1000 (or more!) on a single pair without breaking a sweat, but for some reason I have a real aversion to spending big bucks on flats. And let me tell you Famous Footwear is absolutely perfect for bargain sandals. I wandered in and picked up six pairs in record time. It was seriously impossible to resist these tiny little prices. Lucky for me they have an online store so I won't need to travel to get my fix! I also spent a pleasant night wandering around the beach markets in Surfers paradise where these dichroic glass bracelets caught my eye and at $10 each I decided to get two ... as you do :) Spent $1,266 Saved $239.
